Too cute!

Ella & I picked Nick up from the airport last night and she was so excited to see him! I made a sign for her to wear & she was such a trooper. She loves to where necklaces, so I figured she wouldn't mind. I didn't take a picture at the airport (why, I do not know). She loved watching the airplanes, going up and down the stairs and the escalator.

How funny is this?

Leaving On A Jet Plane

Nick has his quarterly meeting in San Antonio this week, so Ella & I took him to the airport this morning. Now it's just me and the babe. Time to catch up on my cleaning :(

Happy Birthday, Bryant & Lucy Kate

Ella & I met Nick in Lyon Saturday for Bryant & Lucy Kate's birthday party. They had an ice cream parlor and some special guests! Ella had a blast playing with all of the kids, toys, and bubbles! Lesley is so creative and did a SUPER job planning their 2nd birthday party. They couldn't have asked for a prettier day. We drove back to Hernando for another birthday party but I forgot my camera at home :( Ella & I jumped in the moon bounce for forever and then it was time for a nap...for both of us. Enjoy the pictures!

Mickey & Minnie Mouse

She said "Mickey??"

I think she was a little confused to see them in person.

Bryant was absolutely amazed!

He kept sticking his hand in Mickey's mouth trying to figure out who was in there.

Leyton didn't want any part of the picture.

He was ready to get down and mow some more grass.

She warmed up fast

Posing with Mickey!

I had to post this picture of Allie Harris posing with Mickey.

She was obsessed and it was so cute. AH & "Mick" are now besties for life!

Happy Birthday, Caroline

Caroline celebrated her 4th birthday on Sunday, March 14th and we had so much fun! It was a "Dora" themed party. It was supposed to be at the park but it ended up being too cold. Allison & Coleman decided to have it at their house and it was perfect!

Ella LOVES moon bounces! She says "jump, jump!"

99%

Sand, prime, paint, stain, brush, seal...sand, prime, paint, stain, brush, seal...that's pretty much all I have done for the last 14 days. I am happy to say that all I have to do tomorrow (technically it is tomorrow, ha!) is seal the bottom of the cabinets that are on the floor. I have played around with a few samples of paint and had a painter come by yesterday to give me a quote. I told him that I really like the red because it makes the cabinets stand out and he agreed. So we decided (for now) to stick with the red. He will be back next week to re-paint one wall and touch-up around the cabinets. I wanted to paint the kitchen myself but don't really trust my "cutting in" skills at the moment. I have put in over 60 hours and worked way too hard to mess them up. I took a break from painting this afternoon so Miss Priss and I could head to Little Feet to get her some new sandals. I love sandal season! After Nick got his haircut, we took Ella out to celebrate turning 19 months. She is such a big girl!

19 doors (x2, I did the backs also) and 7 drawers later...
I don't like how the red looks in this picture.
It's really a deeper red in person.

Almost There

Nick & I have never really liked our kitchen cabinets. They were just so blah. We plan on moving in the next year or so but wanted something different. I saw a picture in a magazine a while back and decided to give our cabinets a facelift. I have been working on them for the last 8 days and have almost 45 hours invested in these darn cabinets. Needless to say, I am ready to be done! I can't wait to see the finished product. I am really pleased at how they turned out. The new hardware makes them look even better!! As soon as I'm done it will be time to pick out material for curtains & a paint color for the walls.

before...not so pretty

i think it will look really good with the cabinets

You know what they say

What you love to eat while you're pregnant...your baby will love to eat, too! I would eat a gallon of Baskin Robbins ice-cream every 2 days when I was pregnant with Ella. That baby LOVES chocolate ice-cream!!
she kept saying "mmmmmmm!" & signing for MORE

she wanted to hold it herself, so we had to move to the kitchen

Proof that she really is my child

she is my little helper & loves to clean
(my mom always tells me that I was straightening rugs at 3...HA!)

earning her keep

She loves chapstick just like her mama.
She says "stick! stick!"

Baby Vance!!

On Friday, February 26th Steven "Vance" Tomaszewski was born at 7:15 p.m. and weighed 7 lbs. 15 oz. I am so thankful that I was able to be there. I made the 6 hour trip that morning and got to the hospital at 10:30. The doctor thought that he would be born between 12 & 1, so I didn't want to miss it. Obviously Vance was on "Tutwiler time" because he decided to come a few hours later. He is perfect & sweet as can be. I am so proud of Laura! She was such a trooper throughout the entire delivery. Everyone is doing great and I can't wait to go back to visit!
